Tour Itinerary
Upon arrival at the airport in Morocco, look for the Coming Morocco sign for your transfer to the hotel. Freshen up and meet in the lobby around 7:00 PM for an informal meeting with your guide and fellow travelers. Afterward, enjoy free time to start exploring vibrant Marrakech or join an optional group dinner to mingle with your travel companions.
Day 2: Marrakech – Essaouira
After a delicious breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Marrakech’s key sites, including the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Dar Si Said Museum. Then, hop on board for a journey to Essaouira. En route, visit an Argan Women’s Cooperative to learn about the making of Morocco’s famous Argan oil, used in both cuisine and cosmetics. Upon arrival in Essaouira, explore its charming medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 3: Essaouira – Casablanca
Follow the coastline north to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and commercial hub. Begin with a guided tour of the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Africa. Continue exploring the United Nations Square, Anfa Residential Quarter, and end with a short visit to the Casablanca medina. Before dinner, make a quick photo stop at Rick’s Café, inspired by the classic Hollywood film, and enjoy the sunset by the ocean.
Day 4: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen – Tetouan
Travel along the coastline to Rabat, Morocco’s beautiful capital, where you will explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Royal Palace, Chellah Ruins, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and Hassan II Tower. After an immersive city tour, journey to the breathtaking Blue City of Chefchaouen, famous for its vibrant blue-washed streets. Continue to Tetouan for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Tetouan – Chefchaouen – Fes
Spend the morning wandering through Chefchaouen’s magical blue medina, Outa el-Hammam Square, and Ras el-Maa waterfall. Visit the Spanish Mosque for stunning panoramic views before heading to Fes, the cultural heart of Morocco, known for its labyrinthine souks and iconic leather tanneries.
Day 6: Fes
Put on your walking shoes and embark on a cultural journey through Fes, covering Bab Boujloud Gate, Bou Inania Madrasa, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, Najjarine Square, Spices Market, Attarine Madrasa, the Mellah (Jewish Quarter), and the famous Tanneries.
Day 7: Fes – Merzouga
Depart early, traveling through Ifrane City in the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Midelt before reaching the desert village of Merzouga. Drive through Ziz Valley, take a lunch break, and arrive at the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. Ride camels into the dunes for an unforgettable sunset experience before settling into a luxury desert camp.
Day 8: Merzouga
Rise early to witness the sunrise over the golden dunes. After breakfast, embark on a 4×4 Jeep Safari, exploring Berber villages, oases, and breathtaking desert landscapes. Spend the afternoon relaxing, sandboarding, or enjoying an African music show under the stars.
Day 9: Merzouga – Marrakech
Bid farewell to the desert and travel back towards Marrakech, passing through Ouarzazate movie studios and enjoying a scenic photo stop at Tichka Mountain Pass in the High Atlas region. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where you’ll explore the bustling Djemaa el-Fna Square, filled with storytellers, musicians, and market vendors.
Day 10: Marrakech – Departure
Enjoy your final breakfast in Morocco before checking out of the hotel by 11:00 AM. Say farewell to your travel mates and start counting down to your next adventure with Coming Morocco!
